Help us have a peaceful, safe - and powerful – rally

What to know before you go.

Help us  have a peaceful, safe – and powerful – rally.

The No Kings Day Rally and Protest is happening THIS Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. on the Johnson County Community College campus on the greenway at the corner of Quivira and College, 12345 College Blvd., Overland Park.

What is No Kings Day?

  • It’s a peaceful nationwide show of unity in support of our democracy and in opposition to the rise in authoritarianism.
  • Across the country, people are gathering to say No Kings in America.

It’s important to remember that YOU will play a significant role in ensuring we have a peaceful protest. We don’t anticipate any difficulty, but if counter-protestors come, we expect rally attendees NOT to engage or heckle in any way. (Remember, we’re peacefully rallying in support of our democracy – and everyone’s right to free speech.) If you need help, look for the marshals in yellow safety vests.

Learn how to de-escalate in this brief video. It’s important information these days, in general.
